Abstract:
Time travel, an albeit far off concept can be simplified to the ability to send messages into the past to effect the future. The ‘TimeChain’ experiment proposes that in order for messages to be sent back in time there must be an ‘Index’ time in the present. At this time the receiver must be ready and willing to obtain the message from the future. Similar to Stephen Hawking’s experiment to arrange for a meeting during his birthday party with his future self, I am proposing a similar project only with messages.

Introduction
Participants will write down a paper an ‘Index Point’ in time. This ‘Index Point’ is as simple as a date and time in the present moment. That paper is then saved and stored in a secure location, much like a time-capsule. In the future, your future self will open the time capsule and send a message back in time to that exact moment. The future you will know what needs to be done, this is why the present you need not make requests and simply must index points in time to ‘sync’ with the future technology. However, keeping and storing these ‘Index Points’ proves to be difficult and cumbersome. This why I propose the use of Blockchain Technology. Transactions will be able to be signed by an ‘Index Point’ signature to mark a specific point in time. It will then be stored and is easily accessible in the future.

Method

I. Design
     A) A Blockchain cryptocurrency with the ability for senders to sign transactions into the Blockchain with Index Point messages
     B) Project will be open to the public. Coins that are issued will be used as Index Points in the TimeChain (TOME) Blockchain
     C) Upon accessing your wallet with your key, the wallet holder will be able to view his/her past Index Points as a reference point for when he/she was open and willing to engage in messages from the future that could help his/her past before he/she has lived that moment. We are thus not sending messges back in time to change the past at the moment, but changing a future that has not happened yet from a later point in the future.
II. Participants
     A) Project will start as a closed circuit and will encompass a random populous.
     B) Project will enter into Phase B and launch to the public
III. Apparatus
     A) The main apparatus is the Tron Network
IV. Procedure
     A) After index points are made participants will continue about their lives

In the future Time-Travel may be possible, however in the not so distant future, sending messages back in time is possible. However, sending a message back in time to yourself will either make you crazy or will be glossed over. My proposed hypothesis is that, much like a time capsule, we index moments in time in an indestructible medium (ie: Blockchain). I have chosen the Tron Chain. My experiment is simple and only requires a pen and paper. You simple write a date and time down on paper and maybe even add a totem. A totem may be the step count on your watch or smartphone. Now, your future self has an index point in time when you were ready and willing to receive a message from the future. The only problem is, that you need to store that paper in a secure location and find it at a later time in your life when this technology exists. Enter, the Blockchain. With this technology we can index date and time, and even a numeric representation of a step count via a simple transaction to a wallet broadcast over the Tron network.
For Example: I want to index 10:00 AM on September 26th 2019. I simply send myself 1000.1 TOME and time and date are indexed permanently for my future self to find.
